Ep. 43 Ditching Hustle Culture & Corporate Habits with Lindsay Stead

A common misconception about entrepreneurship is that everyone can do it.  Why then do most of us struggle to find a good work-life balance?

Coming from the corporate world, where all the rules are made for you, to a space where you define what those are, can be hard to adjust to. Not to mention the constant need to fight disingenuous narratives like ‘work less, make more money’.

This is the gap that my guest, Lindsay Stead, steps into with her work.

Lindsay supports entrepreneurs looking to build sustainable businesses that make an impact, all whilst having fun and staying true to who you are.

A true INFJ, Lindsay has always valued her privacy and alone time, often needing it to recharge. This genuine understanding has enabled Lindsay to support fellow introverts and shy-leaning entrepreneurs to build their businesses without being in that constant state of burnout.

One of the things that I encourage my clients to do is really map out their ideal workday and workweek, and we work towards that. It’s not always overnight.

And then I always tell them, you create the rules, build your business and operate from the rules, and then make the exceptions when it’s necessary rather than the other way around.
